# How to remove the "Built-in display" on ubuntu-desktop 22.04 for the RSB-3810

By default, the “Built-in display” is set as the primary display. As a result, the taskbar and top bar are not displayed on the connected monitor. When changing to a different monitor, the settings revert to default, causing this issue to recur.

Hi @Jems_Cheng

Thank you for your reply.  
The screenshot I reported regarding Ubuntu 22.04 was based on the board where I personally flashed the Ubuntu image provided by the local Advantech team as of November 2023.

Today, when I started the board pre-installed with Ubuntu-desktop 22.04 from the local Advantech team, I confirmed that the “built-in display” was not present.

The issue was resolved with the board provided today, but I will report the steps I took just in case.

_ **Steps to Reproduce** _

・Flash using the genio-flash command (the image is from November 2023)

・Execute the MediaTek setup as described in the following links:  
`https://mediatek.gitlab.io/genio/doc/ubuntu/bsp-installation.html`  
`https://mediatek.gitlab.io/genio/doc/ubuntu/bsp-installation/video.html`  
`https://mediatek.gitlab.io/genio/doc/ubuntu/bsp-installation/neuropilot.html`

・Reboot

・Install the Ubuntu desktop and select lightdm as the display manager:

> sudo apt install lightdm ubuntu-desktop-minimal

・Install development packages:

> sudo apt install build-essential cmake glibc-tools  
> sudo apt install libopencv-dev libgtkmm-3.0-dev libpulse-dev libgpiod-dev libboost-all-dev libglew-dev libglfw3-dev

Lastly, here is a screenshot of the list of image data used with `genio-flash` and their timestamps.
