I was exchanging emails with the local Advantech team, but they have stopped responding.
We are currently working on a mass production development project using the RSB3810.
Is there still no established method for duplicating the existing environment from one RSB3810 to another, or is there no plan to develop such a method at all?
At the moment, we connect to the network to install additional required packages from scratch, but this process is highly dependent on network connectivity and is quite cumbersome.
You’ve already got the answer one month ago. SoC vendor doesn’t provide such a kind of tool.
My main reason for asking is that I’d like to understand what future steps might be considered to address the issue that the RSB3810 isn’t ideal for mass production development—especially since it only boots from eMMC and we currently don’t have a way to duplicate the eMMC environment.
Also, like with the Plymouth question I raised in another thread (where I was directed to check with the forum), I’ve reached out about this on the forum as well.
By the way, why hasn’t the information you shared in your email—such as details on eMMC and the Yocto Project—been published on the Wiki or other public sources yet?
